This web site was born as a point of reference for all that are already practicing or would like to learn the teachings of the Old Religion.

The Old Religion is the religion of the Ancient Primordial Gods.

The term Old Religion was brought back to life by the American Charles Godfrey Leland, who studied folklore and the folk traditions of the ancients. He is also the author of the book "I Canti di Aradia - The Gospel of Italian Witches".

In 1888, whilst researching in Italy, Leland was initiated into an Italian tradition of the Old Religion, called "della Toscana Romagna".

This tradition probably came from the teachings of a Great Priestess of the Old Religion known by Aradia back in the 1300s.
